Beeswax

bijenwasIn order to store the honey in the hive, the bees need combs. They build it together. While hanging together, the bees sweat with the wax glands small wax plates, which they attach to honeycombs. A young honeycomb is white to pale yellow in color and very lightweight. It is amazing that a honeycomb can bear a great weight of honey. The honeycomb construction is incredibly strong and is nowhere surpassed in the construction world.

Beeswax is known from the old-fashioned wax for furniture. The wax is also eaten in the form of the so-called comb honey. We know medical specialists who advise people with osteoarthritis to eat raw honey. Somehow, the beeswax supports and/or strengthens cartilage and intervertebral discs.

We also make genuine, natural beeswax candles from beeswax. They burn quietly with a beautiful dark flame and spread a wonderful, aromatic scent. The candles are available in many shapes – such as, of course, those of a beehive.
