Pollen grains
Energy, digestion, skin, hair and nails
Bees collect pollen grains. They carry them as colorful grains on their legs.
The granules (also called pollen) are not only vital for bees, the unique mixture also contains very useful substances for humans.
If you eat well and varied, you will get enough of these substances, but there are plenty of situations where pollen have a beneficial effect on the health .
Pollen are healthy and good for young and old. It provides strength and energy, ensures good absorption of fuels and building materials.
Pollen contains 30 percent proteins (of which 10 percent as free amino acids), 30 percent carbohydrates, 20 percent fats (half of which are polyunsaturated fatty acids) and minerals.
The following vitamins are present in pollen: A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B8, B9, BI2, C, D, E and K .
Due to the relatively high amount of vitamin B12, pollen is valuable for people who do not eat meat.
Because pollen is so nutritious, it inhibits the appetite by 20 percent and is therefore also a great aid for weight loss.
Also available as capsules
Pollen cure
Pollen supports healthy digestion and improves the condition of skin, hair and nails. A cure should be done several times a year. The most favorable time for this is spring, autumn and winter.
Use: Take 1 tea or tablespoon of pollen grains every morning (preferably with breakfast). This can be done with water, with milk or with some yoghurt or custard or muesli. Pollen also tastes good on a sandwich with honey and the good substances come into their own even better. Top athletes can use more according to their own insight and needs.
With hay fever, pollen provides relief with daily use during the period that one needs it – often this will be in the spring and / or summer.
Top athletes
The trillions of cells and tissues in the muscles need sugar for energy. When muscles are active, they use almost four times as much glycogen as at rest. It is a scientific discovery that the pre-digested sugars in pollen quickly convert into glycogen in the blood. Almost immediately after ingestion, a rapid, natural absorption of carbohydrates occurs and nutrition is sent to the muscle cells and tissues. This results in a powerful and energetic feeling and helps athletes to improve their performance.
Intestines
Pollen stimulates the intestines and contributes to a good bowel movement.
Hay fever
The use of pollen has a beneficial effect on breathing and gives pollen less chance in the spring and / or summer in people who are sensitive to pollen
Bee pollen during pregnancy or high blood pressure
Warning! Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers are advised to consult their doctor before consuming bee pollen.
People with high blood pressure should be careful with using pollen.
Pollen grains are freeze-dried. You should therefore keep the pollen dry and well closed. Pollen can be kept for more than 1 year when properly closed. If desired, the use of the amount of pollen can be increased to 35 grams per day. Because pollen provides a lot of energy, it is recommended not to use it in the evening.
